Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 20, 2026
Asset Roll Call is a local-first equipment tracker. It does not require an account and does not operate a developer-controlled backend.
Version note: The analytics section applies to app version 1.0 (build 3) and later. Build 2 does not contain Firebase Analytics.
Data handled by the app
The app handles asset records, notes, locations, audit history, optional user-selected photos, imported CSV files, generated CSV/PDF exports, and App Store entitlement information. This information remains in the app's local container unless you explicitly export or share it.
Data collection
The app contains no advertising SDK, account system, or developer-operated cloud sync. Optional Firebase Analytics is off by default and begins only if you select Share Usage Analytics. It processes screen and feature interactions, categorical success/failure outcomes, bucketed record counts, purchase outcomes, app/device information, approximate region, and an app-instance identifier. Google processes this data for the developer under the Firebase and Google Analytics terms.
Analytics never includes asset codes or identifiers, asset names, categories, locations, notes, photos, QR/barcode contents, filenames, search text, audit names, contact details, or camera frames. The no-IDFA Firebase Analytics product is used; advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, IDFV collection, and ad-network attribution registration are disabled. Analytics is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
You can decline analytics or change your choice in Settings. Turning it off stops collection and resets the Firebase Analytics data and app-instance identifier stored by the app.
Camera and photos
Camera access is requested only when you start QR scanning. Camera frames are processed for recognition and are not retained by the app. Photo-library access uses Apple's system picker only after you choose to attach a photo.
QR labels
Generated QR labels contain a versioned opaque asset identifier and an integrity token. They do not contain the asset name, location, notes, photo, or owner information.
Export, sharing, and deletion
When you use the iOS share sheet, the recipient or service you choose has its own privacy practices. You can delete individual records or all local app data in Settings. Removing the app also removes its local container according to iOS behavior.
Purchases
Lifetime Access purchases are processed by Apple. The app reads verified StoreKit entitlements but does not receive complete payment-card details.
Children and changes
The app is a general business utility and is not directed to children. Material policy changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
